UNISOLES
Definition: Unisoles refers to a one-piece sole on the bottom of the shoe. A unisole is vacuumed molded onto the sole rather than sewn on. Most shoes with leather soles have a separate heel attached to the sole that can easily be replaced, and the forefoot part of the sole can also be replaced. Only a thin layer of the unisole can be replaced, so if you wear it down too much, the entire shoe must be replaced.
Unisoles provide you with more cushioning than leather soles as they are made of a softer and thicker material. Most have front rocker bottoms that make walking easier and more comfortable.
Benefits: Unisoles provide superior cushioning along the sole than do leather soles. Since most have the rocker feature in front, they provide better forward motion in the shoe. They are quickly replacing leather soles as they are more comfortable and cost less to manufacture than leather soles.
