Have you bought everything in the Dr. Scholl's display to no avail? Have you bought what you were told are "good shoes" and your feet still hurt? Have you been to the doctor and been told that even though you hurt, nothing is really wrong?
Smart Feet Savannah came about because we, Carole Romig and Carol Kirchner, wanted our foot problems solved! For instance, Carole R has high arches, peripheral
neuropathy, weak ankles, metatarsal fractures, plantar
fasciatis, Morton's foot, heel spurs on each heel and callusing. Carol K has flat feet, Morton's
neuroma, posterior tibial
tendon dysfunction, leg length differences, plantar fasciatis and callusing. Ursula G has a square forefoot, extremely high
arches, plantar fasciatis and peripheral neuropathy. Mary B was the lucky one. She didn't have any "problems" - until she put on an arch
support and realized how fatigued her feet had been.
These "medical conditions" aren’t really all that medical – they are mostly just manifestations of imperfect foot structure. Imperfect foot structure creates imperfect gait. All our weight falls onto our feet and that weight is doubled when we exercise. We walk an average of 7500 steps a day (absent exercising). It almost hurts to think about what kind of strain that puts on an imperfect foot structure!
What we eventually concluded was that the answers to these problems aren’t medical (as in medicine and surgery). Imperfect gait affects us biomechanically and until it is addressed biomechanically, no relief is possible.
Our time and effort wasn’t wasted, however. Now you can benefit from what our quest and what we know works; you can intelligently choose what you want to do to address your situation.
