HIGH TOE BOX
Standard
toe box (tapers toward the toe)

Higher toe box
Definition: Most shoes taper
toward the toe or are just narrow up and down. A shoe with a high toe
box is one that doesn’t taper to the same degree, rather, forming a drop
off at the toe. This allows more toe room up and down and allows more
air in the toe area.
Benefits: The more room at
the toe (up and down), the less heat and friction is generated and less
chance the toes will rub against the top of the shoe. This reduces infection,
fungus, blistering and corn problems at the toe.
