Lower and thinner arch support with longitudinal and metatarsal support
Definition: A lower and thinner arch support than the BioOrthotic
exercising supports is recommended for shoes that will not accommodate
the height of the Winstep or Sundance. This kind of support also serves
to allow switching from the assertive exercising supports to one not
as assertive as the need arises. Little to no break-in time is needed.
All 4 arches are supported with these supports so posture is improved
and balance is maintained. When the longitudinal and metatarsal arches
are supported, the body balances in optimal position before taking a
step. However, they do not carry the flexibility and rotational qualities
the Winstep and Sundance do. With these supports, once the step begins
the arch is maintained it keeps the foot structure from collapsing as
much as it would without any support at all. For those who believe they
cannot get used to the assertiveness of the Winstep or Sundance, these
styles are an excellent alternative.
Benefits: It is recommended that everyone have a support in a shoe as
much as possible, keeping barefoot walking to a minimum. These thin supports
go in all except the shallowest shoes and go well in sandals (attached
with Velcro to the back so they don't slip out!). Posture is immediately
improved and the wearer has more options in shoe selection knowing they
can have support in any kind of shoe.
